Protein, BCAAs, EAAs, creatine, electrolytes: when launching a sports nutrition line, it is tempting to offer everything. Here is how to build a coherent line, product by product, with formats and claims that hold up, from Irati Production.

An athlete asks four questions: how to progress, how to recover, how to hydrate, how to sustain the effort. A successful line answers those needs in a logical order, with a clear message for each product. It avoids overlaps, such as a BCAA and an EAA sold side by side with no explanation.

Protein intake, muscle mass · Yes · Tub, doypack, stick packs
Short, high-intensity efforts · Yes, at 3 g per day · Powder, stick packs, capsules, gummies
Hydration during exercise · Depends on the formula · Powder, stick packs, tablets, gummies
Essential amino acid intake · No · Powder, stick packs
Leucine, isoleucine, valine intake · No · Powder, capsules, tablets
The first three products form the core of most lines. They are also the ones with authorized claims, and therefore strong arguments on the label.
Amino acids complete this base. They are in high demand at the gym, but their pitch relies on composition rather than claims: they work better inside an established line than as launch products.
Protein powder is often an athlete's first purchase. It carries authorized EU claims: protein contributes to a growth in muscle mass and to the maintenance of muscle mass, provided the product is at least a source of protein. Two big families coexist: whey, from milk, and plant proteins (pea, rice, blends), which are growing fast. See our whey protein manufacturer page.
It is the question brands and consumers ask most. BCAAs are three branched-chain amino acids: leucine, isoleucine and valine. EAAs are the nine essential amino acids, including the three BCAAs. The body cannot make them: they must come from the diet.
Note that neither BCAAs nor EAAs have an authorized health claim in the European Union. Your marketing must stay descriptive, or rely on added nutrients such as vitamin B6, which contributes to normal protein metabolism.
Creatine is one of the most studied supplements, with an authorized claim on performance in short, high-intensity efforts. It comes in every format: see our article on creatine stick packs vs gummies. Electrolytes meet the hydration needs of endurance sports and long sessions: see our electrolytes hydration guide.

Once the core line is in place, you can expand with more targeted products:
Every format and flavor is a full SKU: a label, an inventory line, a notification. At launch, one hero flavor per product, in a tub or doypack, backed by stick packs for trial, is usually enough. Gummies and capsules come next, to reach a broader audience or another channel such as pharmacies.
Protein, creatine, electrolytes · Tub or doypack, stick packs
BCAA or EAA, pre-workout · Flavored powder, stick packs
Gummies, vitamins, magnesium · Gummies, capsules
A launch line of three to five SKUs is usually enough: a protein, a creatine, a hydration product, then a BCAA or EAA. That limits inventory, simplifies messaging and lets you learn from your first sales. On our standard white label formulas, small batches let you test a product before scaling up; custom formulas come next, to set you apart.
A sports nutrition line also sells through visual and verbal consistency. A few simple principles:
These choices also help your resellers, gyms and coaches, who need to explain the line in a few seconds.
If you plan to sell in several countries, design the line for that from the start. Claims authorized in the EU, a label layout that can carry several languages, and formats that ship efficiently make international expansion much simpler. For the US market, the same formula usually needs a separate label with a Supplement Facts panel. A manufacturer registered with the FDA and used to export paperwork saves you time at each new market, and keeps your quality standards identical wherever the product is sold.
Working with a single manufacturer simplifies everything: the same quality standards, consistent labels, centralized inventory and combined shipments. We manufacture every format of a sports line in Saumur, France, and we can store your products and ship them directly to your customers from our Allonnes site.
Irati Production manufactures your entire sports nutrition line in France, as white label or custom.
BCAAs are three amino acids (leucine, isoleucine, valine). EAAs are the nine essential amino acids, including the three BCAAs.
It depends on your customers. BCAAs are better known and easier to sell; EAAs appeal to informed athletes looking for a complete essential amino acid profile.
No. No health claim is authorized for BCAAs or EAAs in the European Union. Protein and creatine, on the other hand, do have authorized claims.
Usually a protein, a creatine and a hydration product, which cover the main needs and have strong arguments. Amino acids and pre-workouts come next.
Yes. We make powders, stick packs, capsules, tablets and gummies in France, and we can store and ship your products.
